So I’ve come up with a headcanon in regards to Sherlock’s Purple Shirt of Sex:

Mrs. Hudson seems like is one of those BAMFs who would sew her own clothes and we often see her in this epic all purple ensemble. So one day she decides to sew Sherlock a shirt using the leftover purple fabric she has and with each button she stitches on she makes the wish: “please let Sherlock find someone to make him happy”. She pauses mid stitch and reflects on her husband, adding “and who will love and look after him”.

She gives the finished product to Sherlock as an early housewarming gift and lo and behold a few days later Sherlock brings home a handsome, nice, polite, ex-military doctor who doesn’t mind Sherlock one bit.

One evening Mrs. Hudson brings the two some tea. Sherlock is sitting with john and wearing the shirt she made him.

Mrs. Hudson smiles and gives them tea.

And of course she would have made it a little, little too tight. Because come on, Sherlock is such a lovely boy !
